I had the privilege of having Carolyn compete in many food competitions I organized for over 30 years! She always had a smile and loved spending time with her fellow competitors. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I am pretty sure she is organizing a heavenly pie contest or chili cook off.

It is during times of great loss that we realize how limiting words can be and how special our friends truly are. I hope that you hear the words we cannot speak, for words can do no justice to the heartache you and your family have suffered. Please know that you are not alone in remembering a truly wonderful person that meant so much to so many. Carolyn was an inspiration to many women in the surrounding communities and the state of WV as a member of the Marion County Community Education Outreach Service, formerly Extension Homemakers.
