Obituary of Pauline "Susie" Sharp

Pauline “Susie” Louise Hillberry Sharp, 74, of Rivesville, West Virginia passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital located at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV with her family and close family friend, Lyla Wilson by her side. She was born February 7, 1948 in Barrackville, WV the daughter of Eleinor Fox and the late Paul “Lard” Hillberry. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Dale Sharp of Rivesville, WV. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Darlene “Peanut” and Lonny Summers of Rivesville, WV, a grandchild Bradey Summers, and two great-grandchildren Parker Summers and Easton Summers. Susie was a retired employee for the Seal Beam Division of the Westinghouse Corporation in Fairmont, WV with 38 years of service. She was a 1966 graduate of Barrackville High School. She enjoyed going to horse pulling competitions and made life-long friends while enjoying these competitions all over the Eastern and Midwestern United States. Susie enjoyed shopping in Amish Country, crocheting, ceramics and watching the television series “Yellowstone” with her dog buddy, Oscar, by her side. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Select Medical Department at Monongalia General Hospital for their excellent care and support. They went above and beyond with their care. The family has entrusted arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588.
