Obituary of Luke Ray Hudson

Luke Ray Hudson, 42 of Fairmont, WV passed away on August 13, 2022. He was born November 23, 1979 in Fairmont, WV to Faye Hudson and the late Larry Hudson. He was raised in Meadowdale before moving to Williams Crossroads Way as a teenager. Luke was a beloved son, brother, husband, and father. He was a 1998 graduate of East Fairmont High, a 2005 graduate of the Medial Assistant program at OIC. He got his Associates Degree in Air Frame and Power Plant from the Robert C. Byrd National Aerospace program, in 2010, he also was a graduate of the C.R. England CDL program. Luke loved the outdoors, fishing, football, going to concerts, motorcycles and spending time with family and friends. Luke adored his children Denver and Marlie and his animals Bella and Butters. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Mary Gail Hudson; his children Denver and Marlie Hudson; his mother Faye Hudson; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Cecilia and Butch Thorne; brothers Mark Hudson and wife Kathy, Danny Hudson and wife Dina; sister Becky Nichols and husband Ronald; brother-in-law Mike Thorne and finance Jennifer McCue; Aunt Linda Tutalo and many other aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins. Luke was also preceded in death by his father Larry Hudson; his Uncle Johnny Hudson; his brother-in-law Joey Thorne and grandmother Elizabeth Hudson. In celebrating Luke’s life, the family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to his children Denver and Marlie. Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV on Sunday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 5:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Haught presiding. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.fordfuneralhomes.com.
