Obituary of Wayne Franklin Palmer

Wayne Franklin Palmer, 54, of Grafton, West Virginia passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at his residence. He was born November 15, 1967 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Homer Jr. Palmer & Elizabeth Irene White Palmer. He is survived by 2 daughters and a son in law Brandy & Dominic Maiden of Fairmont, WV and Ashley Nicole Palmer of Shinnston, WV, a brother Homer Ray Palmer of Grafton, WV, 5 grandchildren Malakai, Gage, Addison, Mia and Lacey. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers David Jr. Palmer and Edward O’Brien Palmer, and a sister Joyce Ann McCormick. Mr. Palmer was previously employed by the North Central Paving Company and the Rob Yost Paving Company. Wayne was a great Dad, a loving Pappy and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his fur baby Gemma. He always liked hunting and fishing. He was a great meat cutter/butcher and knew how to cook in his kitchen. No one ever left his home hungry and he knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. Wayne was a very hard worker and his idea of a good time was time spent with family and an iced cold beer. The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 3-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating.
