Obituary of Cynthia Sue Denham

Sue Denham Cynthia Sue Ash Denham, 64, of Fairmont, passed away on October 4, 2016 in her residence. She was born June 29, 1952 in Long Beach, CA, a daughter of Thomas L. Ash and the late Catherine Virginia Davis. Sue was a 1970 graduate of East Fairmont High School. She attended both Fairmont State College and Glenville College. She was a member of the Baptist Temple Church in Fairmont. Sue retired from BB&T Bank in Morgantown after 12 years of service as administrative assistant to the commercial mortgage department. She had previously been a real estate agent and office manager with Vandalia Real Estate in Morgantown. Sue enjoyed league bowling locally as well as reaching the state level in tournament play. She was an avid sewer having sewn many clothes and costumes for her children. She loved reading and working with ceramics. Sue loved spending her vacations at Ocean City with her family and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Kendra and her husband Tim Linkous of Morgantown,WV, her son Aaron and his wife Maggie Denham of Fairview, WV, her brother Jereme and his wife Ashly Ash of Fairmont, her grandchildren: Abbie and Karlie Denham, Tyler, Reagan, Harrison, and Kennedy Linkous, her former husband and father of her children, Wayne Denham of Grantsville, WV and her aunt Nancy Davis Vandergrift of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Friends and family may visit at the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 6PM until 8PM, and on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 10 AM until 11 AM. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11AM with Reverend Larry Kincell officiating. Interment will follow at the Monumental Cemetery, Monumental, WV.
