Obituary of Amanda Joyce Rittenhouse

Amanda Joyce Rittenhouse, 55, passed away after a long battle of breast cancer on July 8, 2022. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tina Winfield; great-nephew, Greyson Allen; grandmother, Genevieve Tichenor; and father-in-law, Dave Rittenhouse. Amanda was a strong, hardworking woman, a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. She was loved by many. Some of her hobbies were being outside, tending to the farm and animals, and working in the garden. She had a free spirit. Amanda is survived by her husband of 22 years, John Rittenhouse; son, Camden (Adeline) Boggs; daughters, Courtney (Daniel) Cooper, Jade Rittenhouse, and Ruby Rittenhouse; parents, Bill and Brenda Allen; mother-in-law, Paula Noreen Arbogast; siblings, Dixie (Bobby) Holbert, Billy Allen, and Tammy Allen; brother-in-law, Randy Rittenhouse; grandchildren, Isabel and Brooklynn Weight, Drew Cooper and Leora Boggs; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 2nd & Jasper St., Rivesville, WV 26588, on Monday, July 11, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. A committal service will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover, WV.
