Obituary of Donna Lee Wells

Donna Lee Wells entered eternal life on Sunday, June 19, 2022. She was born September 12, 1947 in Harrison County, West Virginia. Around the age of 9 she met the love of her life Daniel Wells and they dated throughout all their school years. Donna graduated in 1966 from Rivesville High School. In 1966, they were married here in Fairmont and began their 55 year romance. As a young couple they moved to Ohio where Daniel worked in a factory, and they began their family with the birth of Daniel Wells, Jr. in 1967. They found their way back to West Virginia where Danny and Donna worked at the Owens-Illinois Glass Plant until Daniel was able to get on at the coal mines. Donna also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Marion County Senior Citizens Center. Darla came next in 1971, followed by Marsha in 1974. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Grant Town Post. She enjoyed playing bingo, slot machines, social media & Facebook, and quilting. Donna’s life was filled with friends and family. She lit up a room when she entered. She loved to sing Karaoke and was the life of the party. Her sense of humor was contagious, and her laughter warmed many hearts. For those of us left here on earth, life will never be the same and we will always have an irreplaceable void until we meet again in heaven. We love you now and forever, and will carry your memory wherever we go. Your journey is complete, so go rest easy and free of pain, enjoy your time catching up in heaven with friends and family who went before you, and find the answer to all those questions that were unanswered here on earth. In honor of you we will go on and continue to live life to the fullest, to love and laugh, but look in on us if you are able and one day we will have a huge party in heaven in your honor. She is survived by her husband Daniel Ross Wells, a son and daughter in law Daniel & Celsa Wells, 2 daughters and 2 son in laws Darla Lee & Daniel Guertin and Marsha Lynn & Roddruss Clay, 4 grandchildren Joshua Wells, Jacob Wells, Melissa Guertin, & Mathew Guertin, a sister Sue Wagner, many nieces & nephews, several in laws, and many friends.
