Obituary of Brooke Davian Straight

Brooke Davian Straight, 18, of Pickerington, OH, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. She was born February 4, 2004 in Omaha, Nebraska, a daughter of David Straight and Elsa Gonzales Straight. Brooke was a 2022 graduate of Pickerington Central High School. She was a spiritual person and had many hobbies which included freestyle skateboarding. She loved to write and sing original music. Brooke was very artistic, she enjoyed drawing and creating her own clothes. She was very interested in the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, biking, and spending time in nature. Brooke adored her canine companion, Chase. Brooke is survived by her father, David Straight and his companion Ruth Klailee of Columbus, OH, her mother Elsa Gonzales Straight and her companion Charles Watson, and his son Chase Watson of Trotwood, OH. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Baker of Texas, her grandparents, Gary and Linda Straight of Fairmont, her great-grandmother, Dolores Clayton of Florida, her aunts, uncles, and cousins, Mike and his wife Jill Straight and their children, Blake Straight and her cousin and best friend, Ally Straight, all of Fairmont, Steve Straight of Pittsburgh, and Fe Gaton and her children, Nicole Klugg, Ethan Turner, and Loralyn Turner, all of Pittsburgh, as well as many great aunts and uncles. Memorial donations may be made to Valley Mental Healthcare Clinic, 448 Leonard Avenue, Fairmont, WV 26554 to support those who struggle with their personal life journey. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. Friends and family may visit on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 5PM until 8PM and on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 1PM until 3:30 PM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Jackie Chambers officiating. Cremation services will take place following the funeral.
