Obituary of Jack Day Satterfield

Jack Day Satterfield, 91, of Fairmont, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Genesis Healthcare Tygart Center in Fairmont, WV. He was born September 21, 1930 in Fairmont, a son of the late Albert Daniel and Florence H. Day Satterfield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelah M. Cutlip Satterfield in 2019. Jack was a veteran with the United States Navy and retired from the Marion County Board of Education where he served in the maintenance department. Jack is survived by his daughter-in-law, Patti Satterfield of Fairmont, WV, his son, Lannie Satterfield of Virginia, his daughter, Robin Martin of Elkins, WV, eight grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Rickey Lee Satterfield, and his brother David “Rabbit” Satterfield The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont.
