Obituary of Deborah "Debbie" Jane Clayton Manuel

Deborah “Debbie” Jane Clayton Manuel, 72, of Fairmont passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at her home. She was born on August 12, 1949. Debbie is survived by her daughters, Wendy Larue and her husband Tim of Fairmont and Lou Ann Lee and her husband Joe of Fairmont; grandchildren, Madison Larue, Austin Lee, Brayden Lee, and Ashton Larue; and sister, Chris Clayton Bennett of Fairmont. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Clayton and Luicille Hess Clayton and her three brothers. Debbie was a member of Highland Avenue United Methodist Church, attended Fairmont Senior High School, and was a retired custodian for the Marion County Board of Education. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading and playing games and spending time with her grandchildren. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Debbie’s memory to Amedisys Hospice, 67 Casino Drive, Suite 102, Anmoore, WV 26323. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554, on Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 23, 2022, at 12 noon. A committal service will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
