Obituary of Robert Wesley Phillips

Robert Wesley Phillips, 86, of Fairmont passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Fairmont on May 12, 1935, son of the late John B. Phillips and Lula Pitzer Phillips. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Bragg Phillips; two daughters, Barbara Ann Hoult and her husband Robert of Fairmont and Laura Tarleton and her husband Charles of Aliquippa, PA; five grandchildren, Robert “Rob” Hoult and his wife Krystal, Kayla Melton and her husband James, Arianna Ford and her husband Jason, Elizabeth Tarleton, and William Tarleton; six great-grandchildren, Trace William Hoult, Sean Farquharson, Trinity Farquharson, Destiny Farquharson, Mallory Hoult, and Aiden Ford; and a sister, Rosalea Nixon and her husband Everett “Buster”. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, James Phillips and John D. Phillips. Bob was a member of Fairmont Free Methodist Church and was a retired machinist at Mundell then Minnotti for over 40 years. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 12 noon with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. A committal service will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont with the Marion County Veteran’s Counsel providing full military rites.
