I hadn't seen or heard from Curtis in a while since I quit attending Healthworks. I decided to Google his name and Uncle Sam and was saddened to hear of his passing. Although a lot younger than Curtis, I got to know him when I worked out at Healthworks Gym in Morgantown. He would walk vigorously around the track. We talked a lot about Fairmont, his work on the High Level Bridge, how much he missed and adored his wife and family. He said he had trouble gaining and keeping weight on, yet he would always tell me about the wonderful meals he had at local restaurants. He spoke about his deep Catholic faith and the Peace he had attending Mass. Whatever he did, working out, sailing or being a friend, he did it with deep passion. He had a way of making those he came in contact with feel special. He loved to Talk, but he loved to listen and got to know people, which is a trait that is often lacking today. My prayers for the family. I am blessed to have met Curtis. Rest in Peace.
