Obituary of Patricia Joanne Cimaglia
Patricia Joanne Cimaglia, 90, of Fairmont, West Virginia died Sunday, April 3, 2022 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born December 6, 1931 in Tunnelton, WV a daughter of the late Cyrus Floyd Shaver and Dessie Hazel Halbritter Shaver. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Orizio (Yocko) Cimaglia. She is survived by 3 sons Michael Lynn Cimaglia, Gregory Alan Cimaglia and Jeffrey Brian Cimaglia, 3 grandchildren Candias Welch, Danielle Cimaglia and Dane Cimaglia, 5 great grandchildren Morgan Berry, Maia Woodrum, Mackenzie Nuzum, Mason Nuzum, and Mia Watkins and special nieces and a nephew Sandra, Annie, Janet, David, Mary Lou, Diane, Marsha, Donna Sue, and Sandra. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Alan Cimaglia who died in 2007; 4 sisters Anna Louise Shaver Kuhn, Geraldine Lee Shaver Wiles, Helen Ernestine Shaver Marines Sandy, and Vivian Elaine Shaver Manley. Mrs. Cimaglia was a former employee for the C&P Telephone Company and the Fairmont Bowling Center. She was Methodist by faith, a graduate of Tunnelton High School and attended Fairmont State College. Joanne enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Green Hills Garden Club. She was a member of the Woman’s Club of Fairmont, Fairmont Woman’s League of Voters, a contributing author and writer of local newspaper articles for many years, “Thru the Garden Gate”, a former commissioner for the Marion County Parks & Recreation, and a former Scout Den Mother. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Cimaglia’s memory to the Marion County Humane Society, P.O. Box 905, Fairmont, WV 26554. 1-304-366-5391.
