Obituary of Belinda Lee Thompson Baylor

Belinda Lee Thompson Baylor, 55, of Fairmont passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Parma, OH on July 15, 1966, a daughter of Hala Marie Pierce Thompson and the late Oran Grant Thompson. In addition to her mother, Belinda is survived by her companion, Tony Owens; two sons, B.J. Thompson and his fiancé Audra Smith and Timothy Lambert; grandchildren, Adrian, Cole, Grant, Ali, Jesse, Kasper, Zyrell, and Ceanna; her brother, Howard Thompson; her sisters, Sharon Mahnen and Iva Postle and her husband Michael; her niece who was more like a daughter to Belinda, Brittney Walls and her husband Sean; nephews, Shawn Postle, Matthew, Chris, Robert, Alex, and Joseph; great nieces and nephews, McKinzie, Kagen, Kreed, Willow, Nathan, Clay, Maddie, and Ellie; her Uncle Ward; and her two grand dogs, Indy and Nebo. In addition to her father, Belinda was preceded in death by a son, Andrew “Andy” Lambert and a granddaughter, Karin. Belinda enjoyed going to the river, taking her boys fishing when they were younger, swimming, sled riding, fireworks, and being with her family. She was a wonderful cook, never missed a morning calling her mother, and had many late-night conversations with her son B.J. Belinda also enjoyed discussing the Bible and listening to gospel music. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. A committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Jane Lew.
