Obituary of Kenneth Lee "Babe" Ferrell

Kenneth Lee “Babe” Ferrell, 72, of Fairmont, West Virginia died Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at his residence. He was born August 18, 1949 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Clarence Dale Ferrell and Margaret Hawkins Ferrell. He is survived by his wife Shannon Jean Getz Ferrell of Fairmont, WV. He is survived by his daughter Christy Ferrell of Fairmont, WV, a sister and brother-in-law Judy & Dale Rogers of Fairmont, WV, a sister-in-law Wendy Ferrell of Fairmont, WV, several nieces and nephews, and his best friends Jeff & Debbie Erdie and Ed & Sharon Moore. He was preceded in death by his brother Allen Ferrell. Babe was a retired plumber and pipe fitter for Local Union #152, Morgantown, WV. He was Methodist by faith and a 1967 graduate of East Fairmont High School. He enjoyed being with family and friends camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. The family has entrusted arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. There will be no public visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Cemetery & Mausoleum, Mt. Zion Road, Fairmont, WV 26554 with Reverend Jim Zinn officiating.
