Obituary of Mary Evelyn Trickett

Mary Evelyn Trickett was born December 3, 1934 in Elkins, West Virginia to her parents Hazel Dolly (nee Clevenger) and Herschel Ralph Coakley. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Hainesport, New Jersey at the age of 87. Mary lived an eventful life as a strong, independent, loving woman who seemed to always have an answer. Mary lit up every room she entered and had a beautiful smile. She was widowed by her husband George Ellis Trickett who passed away on January 17, 1965, at the age of 30 years old. Mary loved flowers and enjoyed being outside gardening. Mary loved animals, and in her later years took care of many strays. She also loved music and was a fan of Neil Diamond, the Rolling Stones, and country music. She was a member of the Eastern Star and loved pictures of her family. Mary was devoted to her family. She adored her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Mary is predeceased by her parents Hazel (nee Clevenger) and Herschel Coakley; husband George Ellis Trickett; sister Mildred Leah; and brothers William Burton, Herschel Claude, and Roscoe Glen. She is survived by her children Mary Andrews (the late Robert), Richard Trickett, Jeffrey Trickett (Deborah), and Virginia Trickett (Bruce). Her sisters Elizabeth Jean, Marjorie Wilma, Anna Louise, Naomi Ruth and her brother Franklin D. Her grandchildren Steve, Trisha, Chris, George, Gregory, Lauren, Matthew, Brandon (Sarah), and Miranda. She loved and adored Stephanie as her own granddaughter. Her great grandchildren Liam, Alaina, Kaitlyn, Julia, Anna, Jayden, Jackson, Alexis, Maelani, Jameson, and Jayson. Many loving nieces and nephews, her longtime companion Jerome Feldman and many dear friends. Family and friends were invited to Mary’s viewing on Monday, March 7 at 2-4PM, following the service at 4PM located at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road Mount Laurel, New Jersey 08054. The family has entrusted local arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 10AM until 12 noon. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 12 noon with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating.
