Obituary of Michele Nichole Barnes

Michele Nichole Barnes, 39, of Fairmont, West Virginia died Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at her residence. She was born December 22, 1982 in Morgantown, WV the daughter of Toni Michele Spurling Harr and the late Barry Wayne Barnes. She is survived by her fiancé Timothy Lee Barr of Fairmont, WV, her daughters Shaylei Black of Fairmont, WV and Alivia Barr of Fairmont, WV, a brother and sister in law Robert & Alissa Barnes of Bunner Ridge Community, grandparents Kenny & Carol Hardesty of Fairmont, WV and an uncle Joe Spurling of Fairmont, WV. Michele was an assistant general manager for the East Fairmont Wendy’s Restaurant. She was a 2001 graduate of East Fairmont High School. Michele was a wonderful mother to her two girls. She loved to watch Alivia play soccer, cheer her on from the sidelines, and go with her to get their nails manicured. She also enjoyed watching her daughter Shaylei sing in the choir. Michele liked spending weekends with her family on different outings and enjoyed decorating for family gatherings in her uncle Joe’s yard. The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating.
