Obituary of Frances Rose Billups

Frances Rose Billups, 54, of Fairmont passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 9, 1967, a daughter of the late Bethel Clyde Billups and Freda Ann Hager Billups. Frances is survived by her sons, Cory Hunter Billups of Seattle, WA and Nicholas Alexander “Alex” Billups of Clarksburg; two brothers, Willie Edward Billups and his wife Judi Lee of Fairmont and Jason Billups of Grafton; and a sister, Stella Pearl Spradlin-Lawrence of Fairmont. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by two brothers, Cubby Joe Billups and Derick Michael Linear. Frances was the social director for Scott’s Place Homeless Shelter and the SOBRANIA Soup Opera. She also worked in the kitchen at Fairmont State College and as an in-home nurse’s aide. Prior to it’s closing, Frances was a member of Miles Chapel Church. She was a graduate of Duvall High School in Lincoln County. Frances was an avid volunteer and enjoyed collecting nutcrackers, murano glass, and bells. The family has entrusted arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554.
