My heart is very heavy with sadness over the loss of sweet Melody. She was one of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I'll miss her daily visits and our little chats at the post office. She would call me and ask if there is anything in her box. Didn't matter if I said yes, or no, she'd usually be there within the hour. She would often bring me a snack and a drink. Melody would always end our visits by saying "don't work too hard". I carry my keys on two of the beautiful beaded works of art that she gave me. I'll miss her very much. My sincerest sympathy for Melody's family. Mona Aberegg

I was honored to know Melody through the Post Office in Kingmont and various activities in the Ladies Auxillary there. She was always available for helping us, as a friend, with anything we were doing. I will sincerely miss her sweet smiling face, her laughter, and friendly demeaner.RIP

Melody was a kind gentle soul who thought of others before herself. I was one of her bus drivers who would transport her to the DAC and Melody would always give some kind of treat or a bottle of water to the drivers. You will be missed by all at the Marion County Transit Authority

Spent a lot of time with Mel while we lived in Kingmont, such a kind and loving lady. Our trips to Walmart and sitting talking with Minnie. RIP my friend , Billy and I will miss seeing you at Walmart. Love ya

We know Melanie from the UM church that she attend when we served as lay speakers. I received a few of her wonderful crafts when she made table decorations for the Catawba Women club dinners. We will be praying for her family and friends.

Mel, I will sorely miss your smile and your sense of humor, Every time I was at the DAC you gave me a gift. I truly will miss you my friend . I'll miss our piano classes, and Puppet shows and especially our sign language class. You were the best. Love you Mel
