Obituary of Twila Irene Miller Meredith

Twila Irene Miller Meredith, 76, of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont, WV. She was born July 5, 1945, in Four States, WV, a daughter of the late Fred Mooney and the late Virginia L. Rowan Mooney Holbert. Twila attended the Fairmont Central Church of the Nazarene and had previously attended Fairmont First Church of the Nazarene. She was a 1963 graduate of East Fairmont High School. Twila had worked with both Monongahela Power and the Fairmont Clinic as an office assistant. She then worked in the medical records department at Fairmont General, and later retired from the FBI having served at both the Fairmont and Bridgeport campuses in the fingerprint division. After her retirement, Twila enjoyed working part-time with Muriale’s restaurant in Fairmont. Twila was an avid reader and movie lover, and loved to continue her educational experiences throughout her life. She enjoyed attending plays and concerts, especially the Gaithers. She created several quilts for family members, and loved planning her flower garden for her home. Twila was a part of the planning committee for her class reunions. She was proud of serving on a mission trip to Canada. She was a compassionate and caring person who was always on the lookout to help others. It was important to her to remember past family members and she made a point to decorate their graves. Survivors include her son, Brad and his wife Kim Miller of Lane, KS; her brothers, David N. Mooney of Clearwater, FL, Victor K. Mooney of Milan, OH, Forrest P. Mooney of Loveland, OH, and Gregory A. Mooney of Suwanee, GA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jonlyn Gayle Miller, her brothers, W.I. “Irving” Mooney, Mitchell R. Mooney, Harold Mooney, Eugene V. Mooney, and F. Douglas Mooney, as well as her sister, Freda Mooney Cutlip. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV.
