Obituary of Joyce L. Carpenter Moore

Joyce L. Carpenter Moore of Simpson, WV passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late George and Lillian Cox Carpenter. She is survived by a son Nelson (T-bone) Moore Jr.; a daughter Anita Moore; three grandchildren Corey Moore and wife Justice, Justin Moore and Hannah Moore; one great granddaughter Caroline Elaine Moore; one sister Jean Kollins and husband Steve and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by six siblings Donald Cook, Gary Cook Sr., Leroy Cook, Yvonne Cook Shaffer, Elaine Cook King and Carolyn Carpenter Gorby. Joyce served as the general manager at Tudors Biscuit World. She enjoyed taking long drives without a destination . Her travels might end up at Black Water Falls or Cool Springs. She found her most comfort being at home and preparing food for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. A private service will be celebrated at a later date.
