Obituary of Mary Lou Jenkins

Mary Lou Jenkins, 90, of Pleasant Valley, West Virginia died Saturday, September 3, 2016 in the Fairmont Regional Medical Center. She was born March 18, 1926 in Rivesville, WV a daughter of the late Julius Howvalt & Ella Burton Howvalt. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Samuel Jenkins. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Lynn & Tom Usary of Pleasant Valley, WV, 4 grandchildren Colleen Usary of Fairmont, WV, Amanda Walls & her husband J.R. Walls of Enterprise, WV, Leah Runion & her husband Justin Runion of Fairmont, WV and Michael Jenkins & his wife Ellie Jenkins of Montana Mines Community, 4 great grandchildren Lily Walls, Nayleigh Runion, Michael Ross Jenkins & Aiden Jenkins, a daughter in law Kim Jenkins of Bunner Ridge Community and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Mark Alan Jenkins, 2 brothers James Howard “Butch” Howvalt & Elmer “Buddy” Howvalt, 4 sisters Dorothy Howvalt, Lucille Howvalt, Mildred Levitsky & Margaret Mary Howvalt. Mrs. Jenkins was a homemaker and member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church. She was Valedictorian and a 1944 graduate of Rivesville High School. Mary Lou enjoyed dancing with her husband with the Y-Squares. She was a member of the B.P.O.E. No. 294 Elks Club of Fairmont Ladies Auxiliary and the Country Club Health Spa (Fairmont Fitness). The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, September 9, 2016 from Noon-1 p.m. The memorial service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Andrew Tennant officiating.
