Obituary of Patricia West Snider

Patricia West Snider, 85, of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Fairmont on August 27, 1936, a daughter of the late Donald Kenneth West and Mildred Murrell Sphar West. Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Charles Marshall “Rab” Snider; three sons, Charles M. “Charlie” Snider Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Greensboro, GA, James Edward “Eddie” Snider and his wife Kathy of Fairmont, and Donald K. "Donnie" Snider and his wife Erin of Parkersburg; daughter, Sally Yost and her husband Mike of Fairmont; 11 grandchildren, Nathan Snider and his wife Ashley, Kristen Snider Darke, Caitlin Chastain and her husband Jon, Ryan Snider, Matthew Yost and his wife Moesha, Shannon Yost, Sean Snider, Sarah Snider, Christopher Yost, Kate Snider, and David Snider; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Judy West of Kingwood. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, Donald West. Patricia was a 1954 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and a member and Elder at Fleming Memorial Presbyterian Church. She retired from City National Bank as a loan officer prior to serving as the church secretary at Fleming Memorial for 26 years. She served as a volunteer at Fairmont General Hospital for over 35 years and was an avid Fairmont State men’s basketball fan. Patricia loved her family and grandchildren dearly and enjoyed family cookouts. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554, on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. The casket will lie in state at Fleming Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1493 Locust Ave., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the church on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Reverend James Morley and Reverend John Riley officiating.
