Obituary of Dorothy Louise Wilson

Dorothy Louise Wilson, 88, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 25, 1933 in Marion County, WV, a daughter of the late Claude Wayne and Evelyn A. Sloan Gibson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rossie B. Wilson in 2006. Mrs. Wilson attended the Eldora United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. She was a homemaker in her own home having devoted her life to raising her six children. Dorothy was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed the outdoors and camping with her family. She loved being involved with her 14 grandchildren and supporting them in their activities and sports. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children: Pam and her husband Don Courtney, Vicki and her husband John Geary, Cecil and his wife Patty Wilson, Randy and his wife Michelle Wilson, Rossie and his wife Elaine Wilson, and Rusty and his wife Kim Wilson, all of Fairmont. She is also survived by her special nephew, Michael and his wife Deanna Williams, her 14 grandchildren: Shawn Wilson, Shane Wilson, Dr. Chris and his wife Toma Courtney, Ryan and his wife Dr. Whitney Courtney, Heather and her husband Raymond Frazier, Jeff and his wife Holly Courtney, Olivia Wilson, Trey Wilson, Heidi Wilson, Jayden Wilson, and Emma Wilson, Ben and his wife Nicole Geary, Brandon and his wife Kari Geary, Natalie and her husband James Mascaro; 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim Gibson and Bill Gibson, and her sisters, Ruth Williams and Claudie Luzadder. Friends and family may visit the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 10AM until 1PM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1PM with the Reverend Dr. Michael Richards officiating.
