Mrs Poe was my first grade teacher. We all have at least one of those teachers from our childhood that we never forgot. She was one of mine. She was the only teacher that recognized signs of abuse and pulled me aside to ask me if someone at home was hurting me. I never got to thank her for seeing me. I never took the opportunity to tell her she was right. My deepest condolences to all the loved ones she left behind. Rest in peace, Mrs Poe. Thank you.

We are deeply saddened by the death of our dearly beloved friend of Judy Poe. We extend our sincere condolescences to the entire family. Judy was a quiet reserved matriarch of the Poe family. I enjoyed and appreciated the wonderful friendship and capable leadership of Shelly who was such a blessing and an excellent leader who served on The Staff Parish Relations Committee at Spruce Street United Methodist Church in Morgantown and most recently working with Jill at Spruce Street United Methodist on The L-3 Leadership New Pastor Transition Team. The entire Poe Family was always available with excellent Mangement -Leadership Skills and advice at a time when they were most needed. Judy & Ned raised a wonderful spiritual family and was always available for much needed advice and personal expertise. Special thanks and appreciation for all of the Poe's outstanding help, advice and leadership. Linda and I extend our love, support and prayers during this difficult time. God Bless. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a special lady. She was one of my favorite teachers. I had her for 1st and 2nd grade at Arnettsville. Then I was honored to be related to her as a niece for a while. She was quite wonderful.
