Obituary of Julia Ann Cimino

Julia Ann Cimino, 90, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the Genesis Fairmont Campus Pierpont Center. She was born on July 6, 1926 a daughter of the late Domenick and Catherine Jardine Egidi. Julia was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank Samuel Cimino who passed away in 2000. Julia was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a 1943 graduate of East Fairmont High School. She was a former member of the Saint Monica Guild and enjoyed bowling with her friends. Julia retired in 2005 as a cook for the hot lunch program at East Park Elementary. Prior to working at East Park, she had worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Plant and the Westinghouse Corporation. Julia is survived by her son, Richard E. Cimino of Fairmont; one brother, Romeo Egidi of Mannington; one sister, Irene Chicarelli and her husband Frank of Fairmont; two sisters-in-law, Rose Cimino and Marlyn Cimino as well as by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Julia was preceded in death by three brothers, Louie Egidi, Joe Egidi and Eugene Egidi and one sister, Josephine Pellegrin. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Thursday, September 1, 2016, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. A catholic vigil service will be held Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. with Sister Stella Cronauer, CSJ. Mass of Christian burial will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church – Marian Hall, 329 Maryland Ave., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Friday, September 2, 2016, at 10 a.m. with Father Walter Jagela serving as celebrant.
