Obituary of Nina Jean Golden Osburn Pica

Nina Jean Golden Osburn Pica, 90, of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Fairmont Medical Center. She was born in Philippi on February 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Dewey Glenn Golden and Esta Mary Ellen Sigley Golden. Nina is survived by a son, Gary Osburn and his wife Sharlene of Fairmont; daughter, Susan Gumm of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Jason Osburn and Jessica Maxwell and her husband Aaron Maxwell of Culpeper, VA; seven great-grandchildren, Alexandria Osburn, Morgan Osburn, Brianna Maxwell, Marina Maxwell, Aiden Maxwell, Caelyn Maxwell, and Isla Maxwell; a brother, Robert Golden of Massachusetts; a sister, Linda Shroyer and her husband John of Fairmont; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Robert Osburn; second husband, Fred Pica; a son, Ray Osburn; a brother, Russell Golden; and two sisters, Violet Osborne and Arlene Rutherford. Nina was a 1949 graduate of Rivesville High School and retired from Philips Lighting Company. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ and enjoyed dancing at the local Moose Club, Elks Club, and V.F.W. Nina was a caregiver to many women in Fairmont and was an enjoyed croquet, quilting, and knitting. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Sylvia Pellegrin, Danella Golden, Courtney Goot, Sheila Womack, and Roxanne Burnell for their excellent care and support. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bill Toothman officiating.
