Obituary of Genevieve Genny Loboda
Genevieve Genny Loboda, 101, of Rivesville, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Wishing Well Assisted Living in Fairmont. She was born in Fairmont on September 7, 1920, daughter of the late John Barthalow and Ruby Arnold Barthalow.
Genevieve is survived by a son, John Andy Loboda; two daughters, Ruby Amelia Cust and her husband Mike and Genevieve “Penny” McGill and her husband Bob; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Bernard McClung.
In addition to her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by her loving husband, Steve Loboda; a son, Steve Emil Loboda; a daughter, Sally McClung; and two brothers, John “Bob” Barthalow and Eugene Barthalow.
Genevieve was a member of Rivesville United Methodist Church and the Baxter Community Outreach. She enjoyed quilting, cardmaking, sewing, and was an avid bowler. Genevieve was always known by everyone as Grandma.
The family would like to thank Wishing Well Assisted Living and WVU Caring Hospice for their loving care and support.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Second & Jasper St., Rivesville, WV 26588, on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Stilgenbauer officiating.
