Obituary of Nancy Ann Davis
Nancy Ann Davis, 78, of Fairmont, passed away in her residence on Sunday, October 3, 2021. She was born July 3, 1943 in Fairmont a daughter of the late Kenneth Granville and Margaret Butcher Morris. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Paul William Davis.
Nancy was a Christian by faith. She was a homemaker in her own home, and had previously worked as a nurse’s aide at the East Park Nursing Home. Nancy was a life-long animal lover. She was a supporter of the A.S.P.C.A. as well as the Marion County Humane Society. She served as a pet foster and adopted many pets throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved her many travels to Ohio to see relatives.
In addition to her loving husband, Nancy is survived by her children, Susan Morris, Barbara Ellen Davis, Jefferson and his wife Princess Davis, all of Fairmont, her grandchildren, Melissa, Steven, and Marsha Morris, Robert, Shannon, and Daniel Abel, Amber, Brittney, Kayla and Paul, Jr. Davis, Brooklyn Quisenberry, Ashley Davis, and Emerald Davis. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, her sisters, Leona Brewer of Fairmont, and Barbara Jean Morris of North Carolina, her former son-in-law James Moyer, her 12 lovely fur baby cats, and one special dog.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Paul William Granville Davis, her brother, Kenneth Paul Morris, her granddaughter, April Dawn Abel, and her grandparents Autumn and Izora Morris Lambert, and David and Mahalia Butcher.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5PM until 8PM and on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 12 noon until 1PM. The funeral will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 1PM with Pastor Bill Toothman officiating. Interment will follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
