Obituary of Jack Edward Ogden

Jack Edward Ogden, 69, of Rivesville, West Virginia died Friday, September 24, 2021 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born November 23, 1951 in Johnson County, North Carolina a son of Custer Stratton Ogden and Audrey Sarah Stattlemire Ogden. He is survived by his wife Ellen May Martin Ogden of Rivesville, WV. Mr. Ogden is survived by his son Jason Ogden and his fiancé Allison Stump of Fairmont, WV, a daughter Miranda Ogden and her fiancé Colton Mills of Rivesville, WV, and two grandchildren Grayson Satterfield and Rhea Ogden. Jack was a retired dozer operator for Murray Energy with over 40 years of service. He was a graduate of Rivesville High School. Jack was a member of Hess’s Gym in Fairmont. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Jack raised Lippitt Morgan Horses. The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588 on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating.
