Obituary of Haseltine Blanche Cain

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Haseltine Blanche Cain, 91, of Fairmont, passed away at home on August 29, 2021. Mrs. Cain was born May 4, 1930 to the late Archie H and Elizabeth Marcelia Henry Woofter in Weston, WV. She graduated from Fairmont Senior High School, retired from Marion County Board of Education, and was a member of the WV Association of Retired School Employees. She worked as a school secretary at State Street and East Dale schools. After retiring, Mrs. Cain and her husband spent many years enjoying Florida life, before returning to West Virginia. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family, doing word searches, and exchanging puzzles, cards, and letters with her dear sister, Jeanie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard D. in January, 2021 and her brother William H Woofter in 2005. She is survived by her son David; son and daughter-in-law Leonard H. and Kimberly Cain; daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Joe Lambiotte; grandchildren Jamie Cain, Jade Audia of Youngsville, NC, Anthony Stephen Audia of Shepherdstown, WV, great grandson Andrew Vanscoy, sister and brother-in-law Jean and Ralph Kilmer of Wadsworth, OH, and sister-in-law Loretta Woofter of Ripley. The family wishes to send a special thank you to Amenda Stalnaker, Julie Gump, and Desiree Stalnaker for their love and care, and to Amedisys Hospice for their unwavering support. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. A graveside committal service will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery, 42 Veterans Memorial Lane, Grafton, WV 26354, on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Jim Zinn officiating.
