Obituary of Mary Ellen Anderson

Mary Ellen Anderson, 90, of Fairmont passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Wana on May 15, 1931, a daughter of the late Artie William Eddy and Vernie Milissis Cross Eddy. Mary is survived by two sons, Richard Allen Anderson and Daniel Lee Anderson; a daughter, Sophronia Gooden-Ellen; four grandchildren, Matthew Franklin Anderson, Desiree Elise Gill, Brittney Nichole Gooden, and Emily Louise Keller; eight great-grandchildren, Aurora Gill, Kenneth Gill, Lucas Gooden, James White, Alexander Taylor, Tristan Carter, Cody Keller, and Nathan Keller; and three sisters. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Franklin Anderson; a daughter, Carol Ann Anderson; a great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Gill; and her brother, Ray Eddy. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Monday, August 30, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 165 Meadowdale Road, Fairmont, WV 26554, on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 11 a.m. A committal service will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
