Obituary of Anna Lee Smith

Mrs. Anna Lee Shingleton Smith, 72 years of age of Bridgeport, WV passed away on Monday, July 05, 2021 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV. She was born December 17, 1948 in Taylor County, WV the daughter of the late Dorsey and Francis Chute Shingleton. She is survived by her husband Jesse G. Smith. They were married February 15, 1969 and celebrated fifty-two years of marriage. She is also survived by two sisters Nancy Shingleton Belcastro and her husband John and Darlene Shingleton DeWitt and her husband Scott; three brothers Lawrence Shingleton, Bill Shingleton and his wife Annagale Cottrill Shingleton and Thomas Shingleton; one brother-in-law Lawrence Smith and fiancé Melissa Napper; four sister-in-laws Shirley Faltineer, Beverly Faltineer, Carol Smith and Janice Shingleton; several nieces and nephews including a niece that was like her daughter Samantha Freed Holleran and many great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one sister Mary Virginia Shingleton and three brothers Jimmy, Leroy and Bobby Shingleton. She was Baptist by faith and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Gathering will be held at the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on Thursday from 10:00 AM – noon. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at noon with Reverend Thomas P. Horne presiding.
