Obituary of Thomas "Tom" Edward Evans

Thomas “Tom” Edward Evans, 57, of Fairmont, went to his eternal resting place, surrounded by his family, after a long illness, on July 2, 2021. He was born November 30, 1963, in Fairmont, a son of the late George and Charlotte Semans Evans. Tom was a Methodist by faith and was a 1982 graduate of East Fairmont High School. He worked as a welder with Swanson Plating in Morgantown, WV. Tom loved to ride his motorcycles when he was able, and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed talking to his good friends and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Tom is survived by his sisters, Judy and her husband Rodney Greaser, Linda Evans, and Patty and her husband Bill Reese, all of Fairmont. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Jessica Greaser, Paige and her husband Jake Gardner, Holly and her husband Mitchell Cockfield, Heather Reese and her fiancé Kevin, Hilary and her husband Cody Hosey, Robert and his wife Brandi Evans, Cody and his wife Joanna Evans, and Matt Reese, as well as his great nieces and nephews, Aubrey Greaser, Randa Evans, Mason Evans, Lilly Evans, Avianna Hosey, Emma Evans, Jude Gardner, Dane Evans, and Dallon Evans, and his sister-in- law, Samantha Evans of South Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved brother, George Robert Evans. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont.
