Obituary of Warren L. Francis

Warren L. Francis, 79, of Smithtown Community passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Lewis County on May 16, 1941 a son of the late Denzil Francis and Marie May Francis. Warren is survived by his loving wife Judy Holbrook Morgan Francis; daughters, Stephanie McWhorter and her husband Michael and Jennifer Jenkins and her husband Dale; step-daughter, Lisa Morgan; step-son, Kevin Morgan and his wife Melissa; grandchildren, Brayleigh Williams, Breagan Williams, Nicholas McWhorter, and Elizabeth McWhorter; step-grandchildren, Alexa Morgan and Hayley Wilburn; brothers, Ralph Francis, Charles Francis, and Jerry Francis; sisters, Betty Boram, JoAnn Dobbins, and Carol Bennington; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by his first wife, Roberta Susanne Hughes Francis and a sister, Lucille Marks. Warren was a graduate of Jane Lew High School and West Virginia Banker’s School. He served in the U.S. Air Force before working as a loan officer for CB&T and Huntington Banks. Warren was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge #9, VFW Post #629, Knights of Columbus in Mannington, Elks Lodge #294, and American Legion #200. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Monday, April 26, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at 3 p.m. with Reverend Jim Zinn officiating.
