Obituary of Linda Darlene Lukins

Linda Darlene Lukins, 62, of Grant Town, passed away in her residence after a long courageous battle, on Saturday, April 17, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born February 8, 1959 in Fairmont a daughter of Harvey and Virginia E. Sipes Gower. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, William P. “Bill” Lukins. Linda had attended Noah’s Ark Assembly of God Church in Fairview. She was a veteran with the United States Marine Corps having been stationed stateside and serving in California, as well as Hawaii. Linda enjoyed woodworking and landscaping. She loved traveling and camping especially her trips to Dells, Wisconsin and Pigeon Forge. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends, specifically her beloved grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her daughter, Misty and her husband Steven Haught of Morgantown, her grandchildren, Brodie Vandergrift and Lukas Haught, her brother Douglas Gower of Grant Town, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Billie Jo Lukins, as well as her siblings, Robert Lee Gower, Harvey Dewayne Gower, Roger Gower, and John Gower Her family would like to thank the WVU Medicine Hospice team for the care and support they provided. Memorial donations may be made to WVU Hospice, 2673 Davisson Run Road, Clarksburg, WV, 26301. The family has entrusted Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville with her funeral arrangements. In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will be held.
