Obituary of Gladys Louise Sypolt
Gladys Louise Sypolt passed away February 28, 2021 at her home in Casselberry, Florida. She was born May 24, 1925 in Lost Creek, WV a daughter of the late Oscar Garland Miller and Bessie Bolyard Miller.
Gladys was a 1943 graduate of East Fairmont High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved people, dogs, and flowers and was well known for her irresistible smile and her culinary skills. She was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Gladys is survived by her daughter Terrie Sypolt of Casselberry, FL who lovingly cared for her for the last seven years, her son Gary Sypolt and his wife Janet of Midlothian, VA, two grandchildren, Chad Sypolt and his wife Darcey of Superior, CO and Brandy Sypolt Perry and her husband Walter of Virginia Beach, VA, three great grandchildren: Lucas Perry, Waylon Sypolt, and Jackson Perry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Leonard Sypolt, her brother Clyde Garland Miller, and her sister Kathryn Lucille Miller West.
The family entrusted funeral arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. In the interest of protecting Gladys’ family and friends during this time of Covid, a private service was held with the Reverend D.D. Meighn officiating. Entombment occurred at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
