Obituary of Tracie Lynn Carpenter Eagle

Tracie Lynn Carpenter Eagle, 40, of Fairmont and formerly of Rivesville passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Fairmont on March 29, 1980, a daughter of Thomas Carpenter and Mary Conrad Carpenter. In addition to her parents, Tracie is survived by her husband, Jeffery Eagle; her sons, Hunter Eagle and Christopher Cutlip; brothers, Michael Carpenter and Thomas Paul Carpenter; sister, Angela Carpenter; grandfather, Milton Carpenter; step-brother, David Pownell; step-sister, Amy Nichols; father-in-law, Jeffrey Eagle; mother-in-law, Patricia Stewart; grandmother-in-law, Eleanor Stewart; family friend, Suzanne Michael; and several aunts including her Aunt Charlotte, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law. Tracie was preceded in death by three grandparents, Darley Carpenter, Norma Jean Conrad, and BJ Phillips and step-father, David Pownell. Tracie worked as an in-home health caregiver and attended the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. She was a true people person with a heart of gold. She loved kids, camping, and cookouts. During the pandemic, she was very involved in her sons schooling. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, to assist with funeral expenses. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Sunday, February 28, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday, March 1, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, March 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. A committal service will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
