Obituary of Naoma Jean Newbraugh

Naoma Jean Newbraugh, 87, of Fairmont passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. Jean was born in Morgantown on January 18, 1933, a daughter of the late Herbert Ross Michael and Unice Bell Wilson Michael. Jean is survived by her sons, Brad and Debra Pettit-Newbraugh of Fairmont, Thomas Roscoe Newbraugh of Fairmont, and Steven Bruce Newbraugh of Mannington; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mavis and Fred Fluharty of Fairmont and Sarah Boggs of Fairmont. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dana Lane Newbraugh; two grandchildren, Candice Lynn Flint and Scott Bradley Newbraugh; as well as several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Newbraugh was a graduate of Morgantown High School and a member of Covenant Church of Fairmont. She retired from the quality control department of the Philips Lighting, Inc. The family has entrusted arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Arnettsville Cemetery.
