Obituary of Paul Lee Sell

Paul Lee Sell, 90, of Barrackville, West Virginia died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at his residence.  He was born December 16, 1926 in Somerset, PA a son of the late Ellis Harle Sell & Margaret Loretta Harvey Sell.  He is survived by his wife Nellie Bavely Sell of Barrackville, WV.

He is survived by a daughter and son in law Patsy & Randy “Dewey” Ice of Barrackville, WV, a son and daughter in law Rick & Odessa Sell of Barrackville, WV, a sister Norma Jean Sears of Girard, Ohio, 3 grandchildren Melanie Kupreanik & her husband Chad of Charlotte, NC, Jessica Sell of Barrackville, WV and Rickey Sell Jr. & his wife Sarah of Barrackville, WV,  4 great grandchildren Matthew Kupreanik, Lanie Kupreanik, Mason Paul Sell & Max Sell, an uncle June Harvey of Morgantown, WV, many nieces & nephews and a sister in law Eleanor Sell of Philippi, WV.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Sell; 2 sisters Leona Mae Harvey & Shirley Marie Harker and a grandson Randy Ice Jr.

Mr. Sell was a retired Assistant Superintendent for the Eastern Associated Coal Company with 24 years of service.  He was Catholic by faith and was a former member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Barrackville, WV.  He served in the United States Army during World War II.  Paul loved gardening, hunting & fishing and going to his camp on the Buckhannon River.

Our Dad was a loving, giving, kind and honest man to his last breath.  A real man who valued family, friends, hard work and the many blessings he had in his life.  He was loved by many who were blessed to be his friends, family or to have him as their Dad.

The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Funeral Home, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554 Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. and Friday, June 16, 2017 from 10-11 a.m.  The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon David Lester officiating.  The committal service will follow in the Mt.
