Obituary of James Fleming
James “Jim” David Fleming, 66, of Rivesville, West Virginia died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born May 30, 1950 in Fairmont a son of the late Alvis Eugene Fleming & Margaret Mary Thomas Fleming. .
He is survived by 12 nieces and nephews Kevin, Leslie & Glenn Langdon, Heather Phillips, Eric Atchinson & Janette Clelland Atchinson, John, Bryan, Mark, Anthony & Ryan Fleming and Shelley Mowry, his Aunt Helen Carpenter, many great nieces & nephews, several great-great nieces & nephews, a brother in law David Atchinson and a sister in law Sandra Fleming. He was preceded in death by a brother John Fleming, 2 sisters Jean Phillips & Janet Atchinson, one niece Tara Leah Fleming and one great niece Avery Clelland.
Jim managed the family farm and was a diligent caretaker to his Aunt Julia Thomas and then to his parents. He was a graduate of Rivesville High School.
The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588 on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, June 3, 2017 from Noon – 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating.
