Obituary of Karen Ann Cunningham

Karen Ann Cunningham, 70, of Baxter, WV passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 8, 2024. She was born in McKee’s Rock, PA, a daughter to the late Howard and Violet Morris. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Randy Wayne Cunningham. In addition to her husband, Karen is survived by her only son, Randy Brent Cunningham and his wife Anne of Chattanooga, TN, her grandchildren, Logan and Audrey Cunningham, her sisters, Monica Miller of Alabaster, AL, and Shannon Morris-Ferguson of Cumming, Georgia, and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her brother, George E. Morris. Karen was a graduate of Rivesville High School and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Fairmont, WV. She was a banker at Freedom Bank in Bridgeport, WV for over 35 years and was a dedicated and diligent worker her whole life through. She enjoyed crafting and making custom greeting cards, traveling with her family to Myrtle Beach, Pawley’s Island and especially loved dinner shows and trips to Dollywood in Gatlinburg, TN. Most of all, Karen was an extremely proud and loving Nana towards her grandchildren. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Friends may be received on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10a.m. until 12 noon.
