Obituary of Heather Michele Spears

Heather Michele Spears, 45, of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at her residence. She was born September 18, 1978 in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late William A. Spears, Jr. and Patricia A. Maurer Spears. Heather was raised within the Bridgeport Presbyterian Church. She attended Fairmont State College and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant certification. She served as a CNA for many years. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed any activity that kept her out in nature. She was an avid fisherwoman, fishing anywhere she could, but especially the West Fork River and Crystal Lake in Doddridge County. She would kayak whenever she got a free afternoon and found peace in her special spot of Arden. Heather had a green thumb and could grow anything to which she took a liking, including flowers, vegetables, and plants. She was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and was an amazing cook when she cooked meals for her family. Heather is survived by her children: Halli Spears of Orlando, FL, Mackenzie Bennett of Clarksburg, WV, Kyle Bennett of Clarksburg, Gage Spears of Daniels, WV, and Jaxsen Spears of Grafton, WV, siblings, David Schepis of Thornton, WV, and Kimberly Thompson of Bridgeport, WV, as well as several nieces and nephews, and one great nephew. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV.
