Obituary of Richard Allen Dodd

Richard Allen Dodd, 71, of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018.  He was born October 23, 1947 in Fairmont, a son of Irene Gerard Dodd and the late Robert E. Dodd.  He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patsy Cutrone Dodd.

Richard was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fairmont.  He was a 1965 graduate of East Fairmont High School.  Richard retired from Christy Machine, Inc in Fairmont where he served as both a welder and a mechanic.  He had previously worked with EIMCO in Fairmont, as well as its previous owner, FMC, and its previous owner, Galis Manufacturing in Fairmont.  Richard was a member of the Marian Council #942 Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and working on his automobiles.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sons, Jason R. Dodd and Christopher P. Dodd, both of Fairmont, his brothers, David W. Dodd of Daytona Beach, FL, and Larry L. Dodd of Fairmont, as well as his sisters, Marlene Dodd of Daytona Beach, FL, Darlene Dodd of Daytona Beach, FL, and Judy LaGamba of Daytona Beach, FL, and his father-in-law, Sam Cutrone, Jr.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Bronson Allen Dodd and his brother Robert L. Dodd.

Friends and family may visit the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 4PM until 8PM.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fairmont,  with Father Jojan Joseph, C.S.T. as celebrant.  Interment will follow at the Mt.
