Obituary of Bruce Eugene Rose

Bruce Eugene Rose, 68, of Fairmont, WV passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born on September 21, 1957 in Fairmont, the son of the late Marion E. and Betty J. Casto Rose. Bruce is survived by his brother Brian Rose and his wife Lori, and nephews, Brandon and Skylar Rose, all of Fairmont. Bruce proudly graduated from East Fairmont High School in 1975 and West Virginia University in 1979. He was the former co-owner of Tri-County Insurance Company in Fairmont and later served as the Vice President at Equity Life Insurance Company in Lexington, KY for 25 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed chess, backgammon, listening to audio books, playing softball for Hendo’s, and fishing in the WV Mountains Area of Petersburg. Bruce was an avid WVU, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Pittsburgh Steelers sports fan. He was also a former member of the Rock Lake Club. Bruce leaves behind several close friends and was known to be very generous to his community throughout his lifetime. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. A celebration of life service will be held for the family at a later date.
