Obituary of Doris Jean (Trippett) Linn
It is with great sorrow and so much love that we announce the peaceful passing of Doris Jean Trippett Linn, who went to be with our Lord in Heaven. We imagine she was joyfully greeted by the love of her life, her husband, Ralph. She grew up in the Bellview community of Fairmont, daughter of the late Glenn and Gertrude Trippett, and granddaughter of FD and Lizzy Trippett of Fairmont.
Doris is survived by her only child, Louise Dale Linn, of Fairmont. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon William Haun (Samantha), Sarah Linn Nwobi (Mac), and Sandra Kay Alkire, as well as her prides and joy, her great grandchildren, Addison Rose, Brayah Rose, Alaina Grace, Joseph Anthony, Carter Joseph, and Myles Lee, all who lovingly called her “Nanny”.
She was preceded in death by her one true love, her husband, Ralph William Linn, who passed in 1987. Also preceded in death by her brothers, Carl Trippett, Walter Trippett and Howard Trippett.
Doris went to Barnes Elementary School, and Fairmont Senior High School, in Fairmont. She worked in banking for several years at First National in Fairmont, before becoming a stay-at-home Mom. She was a lifetime active member of the Osiris Temple Shrine. She loved cooking, baking, creating beautiful cross-stitch patterns, reading, gardening, working jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her family. Mom had the kindest soul and was a friend to many who became family. She wanted us to celebrate her life, not mourn her death. She is with Daddy again, and they’re watching over our family with pride and joy.
She will be forever missed by her loved ones and her kitty, Sami girl.
