Obituary of Valentine Raye Rogers White

Valentine Raye Rogers White, 66, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at River Oaks Healthcare Center. Valentine was born on December 27, 1959 in Clarksburg, WV to Alden Clifford Rogers and Betty Jo Valentine Rogers. Valentine was preceded in death by her parents Alden and Betty, her sister Laura “Sandy” Murphy of VA and her brother Alden Lee “Billy” Rogers of MD. Valentine is survived by her husband Jerald White of Bridgeport, her son Christopher White of VA, and her daughter Laura Dick (Johnny) of Bridgeport, two grandsons Austin and Aiden, and her sister Patricia Schader of WA. Valentine is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Tim and Randi White of West Union and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Valentine was a 1978 graduate of Bridgeport High School. Valentine enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. She loved games including card games that included family and friends. She was an artist at heart with her many drawings, creations, and poems throughout her life. Her joy came from making others laugh, telling stories, and spending time with family and friends. A special thank you to her special friend Julie for being a tremendous support and loving friend. The family would like to thank River Oaks Healthcare Center and Hospice for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home in the name of Valentine White to help offset final expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport. In accordance with Valentine’s wishes, cremation services will occur.
