Obituary of Irene Grace Gerard Dodd

Irene Grace Gerard Dodd, 100, of South Daytona, FL, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Advent Health in Orman Beach, FL. She was born on April 18, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Irene Bolinger Gerard. Irene is survived by two sons, David W. Dodd of Daytona Beach, FL and Larry L. Dodd of Fairmont and two daughters, Marlene Dodd and Judy LaGamba all of Daytona Beach, FL; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Dodd; sons, Robert L. Dodd and Richard A. Dodd; daughter, Darlene Dodd; grandson, Aaron Dodd; and sister-in-law, Patsy Dodd. Irene worked at Pleasant Valley School from 1987 until 1987. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., , Fairmont, WV 26554, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 12 noon. Committal service will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
