Obituary of Barbara Ann (Francis) Quisenberry

Barbara “Barb” Ann Francis Quisenberry, 61, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born on May 19, 1964 in Fairmont, the daughter of Vera Bell Francis and the late Russell Francis of Fairmont. Barb was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed having fun, fishing, camping, listening to music, driving, and working on cars. Barb loved to share conversation with her neighbors and friends. Her greatest enjoyment in life and what she lived for was being a mom to her daughters, Britt and Renee. In addition to her mother, Barb is survived by her daughters, Britt Quisenberry and her companion Chris Beveridge of Fairmont, and Vanessa “Renee” Quisenberry of Fairmont, brothers, Billy and Bobby Francis, both of Fairmont, grandchildren, Braya Williams of Fairmont, Randy Hughart, Hunter Hughart, Kinsley Lucas, Vivien Ogan, and Stevie Ogan, all of Charleston, WV, and one great grandchild, Amerie Hughart of Charleston, WV. She is also survived by her former husband and friend, Glen Quisenberry of Fairmont, good friend and neighbor, John Earle of Fairmont, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Barb was preceded in death by two sons, Glen A. Quisenberry, Jr., and James R. Quisenberry, and one sister, Brenda Bunner. Memorial contributions may be made in Barb’s memory to the funeral home to help offset expenses. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. In accordance with Barb’s wishes, cremation services will occur.
