Obituary of Dominick Messineo

Dominick Messineo, 85, of Clarksburg passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 4, 1940 a son of the late Tony and Cindy Messineo. Dominick is survived by three sons, Michael Messineo, Andrew Griffith, and Christopher Griffith; daughter, Kim Finchan and her fiancé Jeffrey Quickle; four grandchildren, including Krista Fincham and her partner Tucker Whiley of Morgantown and Samantha Jo Michaels; aunt-in-law, Dolores and her daughter Donna Danes; and close friends, Taylor and Debbie Hurst. In addition to his parents, Dominick was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Messineo; son, Brian Keith Messineo; brothers, Joseph and Tony; and sisters, Lorraine, Barbara, and Rosalee. Dominick was catholic by faith and was a hard worker. He was one of the best baseball and softball players in the state and loved cooking, coin collecting, and the outdoors. Dominick proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a great man with so much dignity and was a hard worker. The family has entrusted arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 E.
